FIGHTING HUNGER TOGETHER

WE DID IT!! Because of your amazing support, the Food Bank will be a recipient of one of the $45,000 grants!

Your Facebook VOTE will now help us provide healthy food to hungry kids in the Southern Tier!

During the month of April, the Food Bank of the Southern Tier will be competing in a Facebook contest just for food banks across the country. The 40 food banks that get the most votes on a special Facebook page will each receive a $45,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation!

Please help us win one of the $45,000 grants by voting for the Food Bank of the Southern Tier on Monday, April 1, and every day through April 30. And share this with your Facebook friends.

With your votes, we can expand our BackPack ProgramTM  to all 41 school districts in our service area, and improve child nutrition by introducing local fruits and vegetables from local New York farms. And you can help us make this possible by voting each day!

The contest will last from April 1-30 and the voting process is straightforward:

1.    Log into your Facebook account

2.    Search for the Walmart Fighting Hunger Together voting site

3.    Search for Food Bank of the Southern Tier by name, city, county, state, or zip

4.    Vote daily!

Since each voter will be allowed to vote once daily, we ask you to consider setting a reminder alarm on your phone or forming a group of friends to remind you to vote. We also encourage you strongly to please make sure that you share with your friends!

Click here to follow the Food Bank on Facebook, and share our Walmart posts with friends.

With every vote, you will be helping countless kids in the our six county service area.

We canít thank you enough for your participation and support.
